Hear powerful testimony on two programs that are using bicycling as a way of building confidence, freedom, and community within refugee populations. The first 20 minutes will be dedicated to the short Dutch documentary film Mama Agatha, which tells the story of a 59-year-old Ghanaian woman living in cyclefriendly Amsterdam who for the past five years has been teaching other immigrant women how to ride bikes. This powerful and moving story is what inspired World Relief, Boise to launch their refugee bicycling program. Learn what it took and how it continues to evolve in helping refugees gain new freedoms through bicycling in Idaho.
