We in the Ohio Bicycle Federation were successful in shepherding HB 154 through the Ohio General Assembly in 2015-2016. Our new law become effective on March 21 of 2017, and did two things for Ohio bicyclists:
1. Require that all Ohio motorists give bicyclists 3 feet of passing clearance.
2. Permit Ohio bicyclists to proceed through an intersection after stopping and yielding right-of-way, even when not detected by the device meant to move the signal from red to green.
